How does the Polymarket leaderboard work?
Polymarket settles on a public blockchain, so every fill from every wallet is a public record. The leaderboard aggregates those records into profit and volume rankings over four windows: today, this week, this month, and all time. There are also category boards for politics, sports, crypto, and more.
The tables above read the same public data API that powers polymarket.com/leaderboard — the leaderboard endpoint is free and documented — refreshed every 5 minutes. Two columns matter: profit and volume. They measure different things. Volume measures activity. Profit measures being right.
One quirk to know: traders who never set a username show up as a wallet address. Anonymity is the default on Polymarket, and some of the biggest accounts on the board have no public name at all. Is the Polymarket leaderboard accurate?
It's real data with real limits. The leaderboard shows Polymarket's own P&L calculation, and traders have documented cases where the leaderboard number and a wallet-level accounting of the same address diverge sharply — one widely-shared analysis found a wallet showing +$1.97M on the leaderboard against roughly +$2,700 by independent calculation. Realized-P&L windows, open positions, and transfers between accounts all blur the picture.
So read it the way sharp traders do. The board is directionally right about who is winning. It is not an audited statement. A one-day rank means little; a name that holds the monthly board for a year means a lot.
Who are the best Polymarket traders of all time?
The all-time board above answers with live numbers, and the top of it has been stable for a while: swisstony leads on cumulative profit, with Theo4 and Fredi9999 close behind — two of the four accounts run by "Théo," the French trader who cleared roughly $85 million on the 2024 U.S. election.
The most famous name in prediction markets isn't at the top of this board at all. Domer, profiled by 60 Minutes, has wagered more than $400 million on Polymarket as a full-time political bettor since 2007. His edge is consistency across thousands of markets, not one monster win. Does Kalshi have a leaderboard?
Yes. The Kalshi leaderboard lives inside the Kalshi app under Social, ranking traders by profit across categories and timeframes. Profiles are opt-in, and unlike Polymarket, Kalshi publishes no public leaderboard API — which is why every "kalshi leaderboard" tool you'll find is a scraper or a screenshot.
The venues split the talent pool. The same event often trades on both books at different prices, and the traders capturing that spread don't appear on either leaderboard as what they are: cross-venue operators. Watching one venue's board shows you half the game.
