Because Fireplace runs on the same Polymarket markets, it migrates open positions and the full cash balance on-chain to a Polymarket wallet the user controls in a single transfer: open a Polymarket account, cancel resting orders, then paste your Polymarket Copy address (not the deposit address) into Fireplace and migrate. Selling instead would cost roughly half the spread across the whole book for no reason.
